PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tin Greguric (ranked 5210 p4p, 483 weight class) and James Marshall (ranked 4299 p4p, 321 weight class). Greguric comes to the cage accompanied by Dynoro & Gigi D’Agostino - In My Mind. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tin Greguric!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, James Marshall!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marshall is trying hard to land a takedown here. Greguric sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Marshall takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Marshall tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Greguric defends well and Marshall ends up having to push Greguric into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

and Greguric counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tin Greguric has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Marshall.
Marshall changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Greguric tries to avoid it but Marshall manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Greguric to the ground. Greguric escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Greguric shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Marshall's guard.

Marshall looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Greguric wanted to stand there but Marshall had control of the position.

Greguric avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marshall keeping moving, preventing Greguric from controlling successfully.
Greguric is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Marshall is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Marshall has his foot on Greguric's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Greguric works his way back into a safe position though.
Greguric has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Greguric pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Marshall is keeping the position for now.

Marshall looking for a triangle here. Greguric is fighting it but it looks tight! Marshall pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Greguric is tapping out - this one is all over!
