Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zai's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gohl connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Zai scrambles back to his feet.

It looks like Zuna Zai has been cut.

Zai decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Zai lands a nice short elbow.
Zai is nestled in close to Gohl, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

It looks like William Gohl has been cut.
Gohl is looking to improve his position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Zai connects with a nice short shot to Gohl's temple.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zai trying to control the pace.
Zai's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Zai lands strikes from half guard.
Gohl wants to control but Zai is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Still in half guard, Zai seems content to control.
Zai has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Zai looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Gohl works his way to full guard. Good work.
Gohl looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Zai is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Zai postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Zai chips away with some ground and pound.

Gohl has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Zai can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gohl has momentary wrist control but Zai slips an elbow through the middle.

Zai wants to pass the guard but Gohl is keeping the position.
Zai not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Zai works over Gohl with some ground and pound from guard.

Jeez, William Gohl's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
