The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barlow controls Peter momentarily but Peter frees himself.
Peter has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Barlow is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Peter keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Barlow's head.
Peter tries to free his leg and advance position but Barlow is retaining full guard.

Peter closes the distance and clinches.
Peter tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Barlow just stands there and leans against the cage.

Barlow drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Peter manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Barlow has Peter in his guard.

Peter has gone for a leg lock! Barlow slips out almost immediately though and dives into Peter's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Peter can do anything to dispel that myth.

Barlow gets tackled into the cage by Peter. Peter maintains the clinch.

Peter has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Barlow breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Barlow drops down looking for a counter takedown but Peter sprawls and moves away.

Barlow escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
