Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hanzo Hattori (ranked 5401 p4p, 525 weight class) and Bob McStuffing (ranked 6876 p4p, 574 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hanzo Hattori!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bob McStuffing!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McStuffing throws a left and a right that both miss

and Hattori counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Hattori controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hattori working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hattori in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hattori throws a big right hand that misses.
Hattori won't allow McStuffing to get back to his feet.
Hattori sitting in guard here, content to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hattori seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down McStuffing for as long as he can get away with.

McStuffing throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

and Hattori counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
McStuffing looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Hattori seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Hattori has picked McStuffing up - he's going for a ride! Hattori dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Bob McStuffing is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
McStuffing closes the distance but Hattori moves to the side

and Hattori counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for McStuffing!

Hattori is looking to work some ground and pound but McStuffing has wrist control.

McStuffing tries to clinch but Hattori moves out of range.
Hattori feinted with a counter takedown.

Hattori shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hattori was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

McStuffing explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

McStuffing shoots in and gets a takedown into Hattori's guard.
Hattori seems keen to control McStuffing's posture.

McStuffing stands up from Hattori's guard - McStuffing perhaps looking for a knockout.

McStuffing closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hattori did well to prevent McStuffing getting side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McStuffing trying to control from half guard but Hattori is working away.
Hattori is looking for a sweep. McStuffing is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Hattori is staying active underneath McStuffing, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
McStuffing seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Hattori gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows McStuffing to score an easy takedown into full guard.
McStuffing wants to control from the top but Hattori keeps moving.

Bob McStuffing showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

McStuffing closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hattori to the mat! Hattori manages to get full guard.
Hattori has his hands on McStuffing's head, controlling the position.
Hattori is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hattori wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

McStuffing throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hattori works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
McStuffing stopping the sweep attempt from Hattori.

McStuffing feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Hattori has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
McStuffing wants to get up but he can't break Hattori's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Hattori on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hattori tries to get out of the position.

Hattori bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McStuffing's guard.

Hattori feints and as McStuffing raises his hands in defense, Hattori changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hattori is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

McStuffing is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hattori not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hanzo Hattori.
I think Hattori has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
