The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
James shoots for a double leg takedown but Lesnar sprawls well. He's pushed James's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lesnar has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

James is in close to Lesnar's body, working some short punches and elbows.
