Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Lawrence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and sergio strondah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). strondah comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Duelo: Mr Thug vs Mequi Stronda kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from strondah.
strondah shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lawrence as he jumps to the side.
Lawrence tries to clinch up.
Lawrence fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lawrence throws a looping overhand right but strondah ducks down to avoid it.
Lawrence ducks down and throws a hook to the body but strondah moves away.
Lawrence punishes strondah's body with a nice straight punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
strondah misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lawrence wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

strondah shoots for a double leg takedown but Lawrence sprawls well. He's pushed strondah's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Marcus Lawrence has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of sergio strondah.
A clash of legs there as strondah blocks the low kick.
Horrible takedown by strondah or perhaps it was just good defense by Lawrence which made him look bad.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Lawrence counters with a nice uppercut.

and strondah counters with a straight right hand.
strondah tries for a takedown but Lawrence circles away easily
and Lawrence counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

No joy there for Lawrence, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lawrence is looking to wear down strondah with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
strondah doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lawrence counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lawrence comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Lawrence darts in and clinches strondah up against the cage.

Lawrence gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

strondah is trying to control the position but Lawrence postures up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

strondah is trying desperately to land a takedown but Lawrence is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for strondah.

Lawrence wants to sweep here but strondah controlling him for the moment.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
strondah won't allow Lawrence to sweep him here.

Lawrence is trying to control the position from the bottom.
strondah loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
strondah throws a nice head kick!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Marcus Lawrence will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Nice uppercut there from Lawrence.

and Lawrence connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lawrence digs a good body shot into strondah's ribs.

You can see the frustration on Lawrence's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

strondah is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lawrence is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
strondah takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
