The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bergkamp looks to land a right hand but Miles moved out of range.
Miles swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dennis Bergkamp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bergkamp misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Bergkamp throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Miles's waist but Miles gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bergkamp off to one side.

Bergkamp bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Miles's guard.
Bergkamp stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miles swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bergkamp is pushing down on Miles's leg trying to pass to half guard. Miles is fighting to maintain full guard but Bergkamp has managed to sneak the leg through.
Miles is not content to let Bergkamp control the position.
Miles wants to improve his position but Bergkamp is controlling well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bergkamp.

A close round but Wes Miles will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Miles lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Bergkamp backs up against the cage.
Bergkamp tries to close the distance and clinch up but Miles swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No luck for Bergkamp with that takedown attempt.

Bergkamp moves out of range of the body kick from Miles.
Miles throws a left and a right that both miss

and Bergkamp counters with a nice double leg into side control. Miles won't be happy with that.
Miles is looking to get back to his feet here but Bergkamp is keeping cool and he's managed to take Miles's back.
You can see the frustration on Miles's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Bergkamp keeps control of the position as Miles tries to break free.

Bergkamp's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Bergkamp is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Miles knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Miles for a finish.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bergkamp shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Miles but Miles pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Miles connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bergkamp. Bergkamp circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Miles takes the fight into the clinch.
Miles is trying to maintain a safe position but Bergkamp gets an underhook and turns Miles into the cage.
Miles is looking to break free of the clinch but Bergkamp has double underhooks.
Miles tries a body shot but Bergkamp blocks it.
Miles can't break the clinch.
Bergkamp tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Miles smiles and moves away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Miles digs a good body shot into Bergkamp's ribs.
