The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puncher pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Puncher lands with a hook. Diaz tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looks like Hector Diaz has been cut.
Puncher throws a right hand that Diaz ducks under and follows up with a left that Diaz also avoids with ease.
Puncher jabs Diaz right on the nose. Diaz blinks but takes it well.
Puncher digs a good hook to Diaz's body.
Diaz fails in his attempt to clinch.
Diaz tries to clinch up but Puncher circles away and keeps his distance.
A punch lands to the side of Diaz 's head but he takes it in his stride.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Diaz slips a jab and a cross from Puncher.
Puncher misses with a body shot.
Diaz wants to clinch up but Puncher keeps it at a distance.
Oooh a lovely combination from Puncher sends Diaz down but not out. Puncher dives into side control looking to finish.

Puncher is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Diaz is pushing Puncher's head away, looking to escape. Puncher manages to hold on to the position though.

Diaz seems a little lost for a moment, as Puncher dominates the positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diaz looks gassed!

The referee stands the fighters back up. Hard Puncher just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Puncher explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Diaz walks into a left hand.

That has opened up Hector Diaz's cut even more.
Diaz takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Puncher lands a left and a right that sends Diaz crashing to the canvas! Puncher dives into mount looking to finish!

The cut above Hector Diaz's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Diaz wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Puncher.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Puncher's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Diaz is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Puncher.
Puncher is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Diaz can do to turn this around?
Puncher tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Diaz was well out of range. Poor timing from Puncher.

Hector Diaz's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Puncher's corner calls for a 1-2. Puncher obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hector Diaz's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
