PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike The Judge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Lesnar told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from The Judge misses.
Lesnar throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and The Judge lands a stunning uppercut that sends Lesnar to the mat!

It looks like Adam Lesnar has been cut.
The Judge knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lesnar on the ground.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with The Judge in particular looking to stall.
Lesnar should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The Judge with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Lesnar wants to improve his position but The Judge is controlling well.
The Judge landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Mike The Judge just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
The Judge misses with the combination.

Lesnar has managed to clinch.
Lesnar tries for a takedown but The Judge manages to get underhooks.
Lesnar wants to break the clinch but can't.
The Judge wants to get back to striking at distance but Lesnar won't allow it.
Lesnar has had enough of the clinch but The Judge keeps him there for the moment.
The Judge wants a takedown.
Lesnar goes for a takedown attempt but The Judge pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
The Judge stuffs the takedown attempt from Lesnar. Lesnar gets slowly back to his feet.
Mike The Judge has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Lesnar.

and The Judge counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

The Judge goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lesnar prevents it.
The Judge has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lesnar avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Lesnar wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
The Judge is trying to drag Lesnar to the mat but Lesnar just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Lesnar throws a punch but it's blocked by The Judge.
The Judge prevents Lesnar from breaking the clinch.
The Judge has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lesnar is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

The Judge breaks from the clinch.
Lesnar shoots for a double leg takedown but The Judge sprawls well. He's pushed Lesnar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The Judge instigates a clinch.
Lesnar prevents a takedown attempt there.
The Judge wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

The Judge is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Lesnar can't fight it off and eventually The Judge manages to take the fight to the floor. Lesnar looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The Judge has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The Judge tries to free his leg and advance position but Lesnar is retaining full guard.
Lesnar wants to get back to his feet but The Judge is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

The Judge feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lesnar sprawling to the canvas! Lesnar rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can The Judge finish him?!

Lesnar is rocked!

The Judge moves into range and clinches up with Lesnar.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The Judge tries to break the clinch but Lesnar is controlling the position.

The Judge breaks from the clinch.
Lesnar throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
The Judge drops Lesnar with a naaaaasty hook - Lesnar is in real trouble here! The Judge dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
