Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roman Divac (ranked 250 p4p, 30 weight class) and Tiago Gomes Da Rocha (ranked 339 p4p, 36 weight class). Divac's entrance music is Nas- Do you hate me now. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Divac throws a lazy right hand but Da Rocha sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Roman Divac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Da Rocha blocks a jab.
Divac showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Da Rocha.
Divac rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Da Rocha cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Da Rocha misses with a body punch
and Divac cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Divac just misses with a punch to the body.
A big right from Da Rocha misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Da Rocha swings for the body but Divac moves out of range.
Divac walks into a left hand.
Da Rocha misses with an uppercut.

and Da Rocha holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Divac has a couple of punches blocked by Da Rocha.
I was talking to Divac's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Da Rocha lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Divac.
Divac throws a head punch that misses.
Da Rocha blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Divac misses with a short punch on the inside.
Divac has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Da Rocha leaning against his opponent.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Divac.
Still in the clinch, Da Rocha scores with a nice short uppercut.
Da Rocha pushes Divac back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Divac breaks from the clinch.
Da Rocha jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Da Rocha circles away from the clinch attempt
and Da Rocha counters with a stiff right hand.

Divac throws a one two combo.
It looks like Tiago Gomes Da Rocha has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Divac waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Da Rocha.
Da Rocha displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Divac throws out the jab.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Da Rocha! But no joy.
Divac misses with a right hand
and Da Rocha connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A telegraphed right hand from Da Rocha misses the target.
Da Rocha fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Divac looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Divac is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Da Rocha.
Nice uppercut there from Divac.
Divac lands with a straight right. Da Rocha didn't see that one coming.
Da Rocha is rocked!
Divac ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Da Rocha's jaw. Da Rocha's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Divac does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Roman Divac!
Roman Divac decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
