Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Renton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harold Lederman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Renton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to A Small Victory. Lederman has chosen Poppa Large as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Harold Lederman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Renton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harold Lederman!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Renton feints and as Lederman raises his hands in defense, Renton changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Renton trying to control the position from guard on top but Lederman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lederman throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Renton drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Renton jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Lederman is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Renton is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Renton is breathing heavily.

Renton is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Lederman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Renton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lederman tries to roll over but Renton keeps him under control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Lederman rushes Renton and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Renton jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lederman walks away with a smile on his face. Renton gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lederman moves into range and clinches up with Renton.

Lederman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Renton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lederman was well out of range. Poor timing from Renton.
A combination from Renton does no damage.
Harold Lederman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Renton showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lederman.
Renton looks to land a combination but Lederman avoids it well.
Lederman connects with a good right hand that stumbles Renton. Renton circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Lederman misses with a leg kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Lederman tries to close the distance and clinch but Renton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Renton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Renton jabs Lederman right on the nose. Lederman blinks but takes it well.

Lederman tries to clinch but Renton is having none of it.
Lederman wants to clinch up but Renton keeps it at a distance.
Lederman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Renton paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lederman doesn't manage to clinch there - Renton circles away.
Lederman moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.


It looks like Mark Renton has been cut.

Lederman closes the distance and clinches.

Lederman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Renton postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lederman is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Renton, into his guard.
Lederman postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Lederman is looking to work some ground and pound but Renton has wrist control.

Renton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lederman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lederman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Renton is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Renton is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Lederman frees his head nicely. Oh but Renton has switched to an armbar! Lederman is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
