Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jaximus Eagle (ranked 5269 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnfinn Nesset (ranked 6048 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eagle will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Eagle forces Nesset back against the cage and clinches.
A right handed body shot lands from Nesset.
Nesset lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Eagle has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nesset is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Eagle changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Nesset fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jaximus Eagle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown attempt by Eagle or perhaps it was just good defense by Nesset, which made it look bad.

Eagle closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nesset to the mat! Nesset manages to get full guard.
Eagle trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Eagle trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Eagle is working hard here to advance position.
Nesset wants to stand up but Eagle is controlling him.

Eagle engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Eagle trying to control the position from guard on top but Nesset is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Eagle is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Eagle really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Eagle advances to half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Eagle is looking to take a break and control but Nesset is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Eagle wants to stand up but Nesset is controlling the position.

Eagle is working for a submission of some sort.
Well, if Eagle is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Eagle missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Nice uppercut lands for Nesset. That snapped Eagle's head back.

It looks like Jaximus Eagle has been cut.

Eagle clinches up with Nesset and pushes him back against the cage.
Nesset misses with a hook to the ribs.
Nesset letting Eagle take a breather here.
A short uppercut from Nesset.
Eagle has Nesset pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nesset manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Nesset breaks the clinch.
Nesset ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Arnfinn Nesset is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Nesset closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Eagle! Nesset dives in looking to finish! Eagle is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
