Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dick Twizzle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Twizzle on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Twizzle shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rock pinned against the cage. Rock gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Twizzle shoots in for a takedown but Rock shows good takedown defense.
Rock misses with a wild combination.
Rock lands with an overhand left.

Rock drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Rock has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Twizzle is proving hard to escape from.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Dick Twizzle just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Rock tries to work over Twizzle's front leg with a kick but Twizzle checks it.
Rock's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Rock duly obliges.

Rock lands a nice leg kick that just misses Twizzle's sensitive parts.

Twizzle stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Rock to get to his feet.

Tommy Rock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Rock counters with a nice low kick that buckles Twizzle's knee momentarily.

Twizzle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Rock throws a right hand that Twizzle ducks under and follows up with a left that Twizzle also avoids with ease.
Twizzle shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rock pinned against the cage. Rock gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Twizzle uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rock.

Rock lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rock looks to land a combination. Twizzle sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Rock throws the kick towards the body but Twizzle avoids it.

Twizzle fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rock, pushing him back against the cage.

Twizzle breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rock tries to bum rush Twizzle with a series of wild strikes but Twizzle uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Twizzle shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rock pinned against the cage. Rock gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Twizzle feints and as Rock raises his hands in defense, Twizzle changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Twizzle works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Rock trying to hold on to Twizzle's head to control him but Twizzle postures up.

Twizzle seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rock for as long as he can get away with.

and Rock counters with a three punch combo that has Twizzle backing up. Twizzle nods at Rock to acknowledge the strikes.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Twizzle stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Twizzle chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rock can pounce on him.

Rock decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Twizzle wants to get back to his feet.
Twizzle tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Rock gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Rock avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Twizzle moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Rock throws a series of punches but Twizzle moves out of range.
Twizzle tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Dick Twizzle has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Twizzle takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
