The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holder keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Darkness throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Holder counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Darkness working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Holder.
Holder has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Darkness is proving hard to escape from.
Holder is working Darkness over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Holder slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Holder gets to his feet. Darkness looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Darkness shoots for a takedown but Holder saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Darkness throws a leg kick
and Holder counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Holder.

Holder content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Darkness has locked up a guillotine! Darkness's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Holder is holding on here and Darkness must be using up a lot of energy. Holder has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Darkness gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
