The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watanabe shoots in for a double leg but McCreey sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

McCreey is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Watanabe.
McCreey throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
McCreey throws the kick towards the body but Watanabe avoids it.
McCreey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Watanabe circles away quickly and effectively.

Watanabe shoots in looking for a takedown. McCreey tries to sprawl out of it but Watanabe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McCreey manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Watanabe is trying desperately to land a takedown but McCreey is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Watanabe.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Watanabe jumps guard and drags McCreey to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
