Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Stanford Keith (ranked 5247 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sneaky Beaver (ranked 7522 p4p, 0 weight class). Stanford Keith has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Stanford Keith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sneaky Beaver!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beaver avoids a punch combination nicely.

Keith scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Beaver kicks Keith off and gets back to his feet.
Beaver tries to clinch up but Keith circles away and keeps his distance.

Keith drives through with a takedown into Beaver's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Beaver is working an open guard so Keith takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Beaver does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Keith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Keith closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Beaver is looking to improve his position.
Beaver really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Keith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Keith gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Keith feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Beaver looks to land a body kick but Keith moved away.

Keith is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Beaver's half guard.

Beaver wants to get back to his feet.

Keith postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Beaver to stand up.

Keith looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Keith looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Keith decides to return to a standing position.
Beaver wants to clinch.

Keith darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Keith wants to get back to his feet.

Beaver is defending against the submission attempts here by Keith.

Keith is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Beaver defends it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Keith's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Beaver keeps control of Keith as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Keith is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Beaver pulls him back up using the underhooks.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stanford Keith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Keith is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Beaver to keep the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Keith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Keith shoots in but Beaver avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Beaver manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Keith on his heels. He'll look to pass Keith's guard now, I'm sure.

Keith lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Keith's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Beaver is working an open guard so Keith takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Beaver decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Keith is looking to improve his position.
Keith is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Keith makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Keith.
Keith bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Beaver's guard.

Keith wants to stand but Beaver has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Keith controls from within his opponent's guard.
Beaver controlling the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Keith sitting in guard here, content to control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Keith clinches up with Beaver and pushes him back against the cage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Keith is looking to break free of the clinch but Beaver has double underhooks.

Beaver manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Sneaky Beaver will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Keith dives in and scores a takedown into Beaver's guard.
Beaver is trying to control the position but Keith postures up.
Keith is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Keith is looking to stand up but Beaver won't let him.
Keith will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Keith controls from within his opponent's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Beaver has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Keith is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Beaver.
Beaver takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Beaver tries to bench press Keith off him but Keith keeps the position.

Keith decides to stand up, so the ref orders Beaver to his feet.

Keith moves into range and clinches up with Beaver.
Beaver gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Keith.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Beaver decides to pull guard.
Keith wanted to stand there but Beaver had control of the position.

Keith gets to his feet - Beaver follows without any prompting.
Stanford Keith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Keith darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Keith with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Keith wants to stand up but Beaver has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Keith is taking a breather. Beaver says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Keith escapes and gets back to his feet.

Beaver closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Keith quickly recovers to half guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Keith manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Keith is on top in guard.

Keith wants to stand but Beaver is controlling his posture from full guard.

Keith stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Keith scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Keith decides to take the fight back to the feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Stanford Keith showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Keith has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
