The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lavinna moves into the clinch successfully.

Norton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lavinna lands a really nice looking cross but Norton seems unphased.

Lavinna fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Norton, pushing him back against the cage.

Lavinna is adopting a defensive guard.
Lavinna is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Norton is working Lavinna over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lavinna is on top in guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lavinna is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Lavinna stops Norton from standing up.
Lavinna lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lavinna slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Norton takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Norton wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lavinna looks up at the clock and then as Norton takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lavinna smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Norton is rocked!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Lavinna changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Norton looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Oh Norton is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

It looks like Kyle Norton has been cut.

Lavinna stands up.

Lavinna has Norton up against the cage in a clinch.
Lavinna unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Norton! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Lavinna is unloading with more strikes now! Norton drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
