Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yka Sonni (ranked 2173 p4p, 241 weight class) and Faffa Ferreira (ranked 4334 p4p, 440 weight class). Ferreira has chosen Daddy Cool as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sonni gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ferreira to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ferreira trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Sonni keeping moving, preventing Ferreira from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ferreira might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sonni haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sonni looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Ferreira passes into half guard.
Ferreira has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ferreira is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Ferreira takes one on the chin but seems OK.

It looks like Faffa Ferreira has been cut.
Ferreira fakes the leg kick and cracks Sonni in the body.

Sonni lands a big right hand that sends Ferreira crashing to the mat! Sonni stays standing though and waves Ferreira back to his feet!

Ferreira is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sonni flashes Ferreira a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Ferreira's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Ferreira crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Sonni punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
