The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knowles tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lachance just stands there and leans against the cage.

Lachance drives through and clinches with Knowles against the cage.
Lachance wants to get back to striking at distance but Knowles won't allow it.
The referee calls for Knowles to work.

Knowles really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Knowles tries to counter with a takedown but Lachance is quick to defend against it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Knowles counters with a single leg into guard. Lachance didn't expect that.
Knowles slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Knowles gets to his feet. Lachance looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lachance lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Knowles has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Knowles and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
