The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Chad Campbell and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Stracci. No joy for Jones on that attempt.
Jones keeps the fight on the outside.
Stracci tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it.

Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Jones in particular looking to stall.
Jones decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stracci's guard.

Jones sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stracci's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Stracci really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Stracci takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stracci pinned against the cage. Stracci gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stracci is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.

Jones closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jones lands in his opponent's guard.
Stracci can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jones controls the pace.

Jones wants to control from the top but Stracci keeps moving.
Jones slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Stracci is trying to escape the position but Jones is controlling the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones decides to stand back up. Jones steps back and let's Stracci get back to his feet.

Stracci closes the distance but Jones moves to the side
and Jones counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stracci looking for a sweep but Jones has passed into full mount! Oh no!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stracci circles away.
Stracci looks to clinch
and Jones counters with a nice double leg into side control. Stracci won't be happy with that.
Jones has hold of Stracci's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Stracci tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Jones cranks the arm and Stracci screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Stracci, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
