Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dominick Reyes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rueben FiereFist!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

FiereFist gets tackled into the cage by Reyes. Reyes maintains the clinch.
FiereFist wants to break the clinch but can't.
Reyes effectively controlling the action here.

Reyes is fighting off a takedown attempt but FiereFist is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Reyes to the mat. Reyes regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
FiereFist throwing strikes from guard but Reyes blocks nicely.
Reyes is looking to stand up but FiereFist isn't so interested in that idea.
Reyes pulls FiereFist in close to prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reyes will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Reyes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

FiereFist pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Reyes back to the cage. FiereFist follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

FiereFist has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Reyes has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
FiereFist looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Reyes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

FiereFist closes the distance and pushes Reyes back into the cage.

and Reyes counters with a left and a right that stings FiereFist.
FiereFist tries a head kick but it misses.
Reyes misses with a few strikes there.
FiereFist throws a hook but Reyes avoids it easily.

Reyes fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. FiereFist sprawls well initially but Reyes persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

FiereFist has one foot on Reyes's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

FiereFist tries to bum rush Reyes with a series of wild strikes but Reyes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

FiereFist dives in and grabs Reyes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reyes pushes down on FiereFist's head and hops out.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dominick Reyes will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Nice takedown defense from FiereFist. No joy for Reyes on that attempt.

FiereFist sneaks out the side door and pushes Reyes away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Reyes tries to keep at a distance but FiereFist has taken the fight into the clinch.
Reyes changes levels and goes for a takedown here. FiereFist fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Reyes is trying to pull guard but FiereFist turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dominick Reyes. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Reyes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
FiereFist throws a series of punches but Reyes avoids them all with ease.
Reyes looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? FiereFist is fending him off so far but Reyes persists. Nope, FiereFist circles away and we're back to standing.
Horrible takedown attempt by FiereFist or perhaps it was just good defense by Reyes, which made it look bad.
Reyes takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

FiereFist fails to pull guard.
Reyes is pushing FiereFist up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
FiereFist has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
FiereFist is trying to force a seperation but Reyes has the dominant position.

Reyes breaks the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Reyes changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. FiereFist looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

FiereFist throws Reyes to one side and escapes!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rueben FiereFist comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think FiereFist has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
