PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Mateusz Biernat (ranked 2229 p4p, 265 weight class) and Tommy Tate (ranked 23541 p4p, 583 weight class). Biernat comes into the arena with Someday blaring out of the sound system. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Tate !
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biernat throws a sloppy head kick and Tate moves out of range easily.
Tate now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
A combination from Biernat does no damage.
Biernat lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Biernat connects with a high kick.
Biernat throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tate .

It looks like Tommy Tate has been cut.
Tate throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
No joy there for Biernat, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tate tries to counter by closing the distance.
Biernat throws a right hand that Tate ducks under and follows up with a left that Tate also avoids with ease.
Nice body kick there by Biernat.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tate crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Biernat - the referee stops the clock and Tate gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Biernat. Tate manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nice uppercut lands for Biernat. That snapped Tate 's head back.

A right-left combo lands from Biernat.
Biernat works Tate 's body with a nice hook.
Biernat throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Tate 's head.

Biernat scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Tate to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.
Biernat definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Mateusz Biernat is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Tate walks straight into a solid jab from Biernat. Oh, it looks like it's stumbled him! Biernat follows up with a big combo - a right followed by a left that knocks Tate out cold! Tate toppled like a tree, face planting on the canvas. Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mateusz Biernat!
