Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alen Zalac (ranked 5129 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Blesnar (ranked 4238 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Rock Blesnar enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rock Blesnar!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Sergei Dronov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Zalac is defended easily by Blesnar.
Blesnar attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Zalac changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Blesnar is looking to clinch.

Zalac clinches.
Zalac missing with knees to the body.
Zalac tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Blesnar smiles and moves away.
Blesnar avoids the body shot from Zalac.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Blesnar! But no joy.

Zalac closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Blesnar's guard.

Blesnar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zalac doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Zalac manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Zalac is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blesnar has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Zalac has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Blesnar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Zalac is looking to land body kicks.

Zalac closes the distance and clinches.

Blesnar manages to break the clinch.
Blesnar feints and then cracks Zalac's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Zalac down.

Zalac closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Blesnar to the mat! Blesnar manages to get full guard.

Blesnar pushes Zalac off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Rock Blesnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blesnar lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Alen Zalac has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Zalac scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Blesnar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Zalac is working away from the top position though.
Zalac working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Zalac drops an elbow to the side of Blesnar's head.
Zalac has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Zalac looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Zalac slows the pace down in half guard.

Blesnar pushes Zalac off, looking to escape but Zalac dives into side control. He's locked up a kimura now - that was fast! He's cranking on it and Blesnar is forced to tap! The fight is over!
