Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Harvey Ross (ranked 5210 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Lau (ranked 3102 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross throws an off balance right hand

and Lau counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lau throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Ross knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lau on the ground.
Lau thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ross's head.
Lau is pressing down on Ross's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ross is holding on for now.
Lau is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Ross is refusing to be controlled, as Lau sits in half guard.
Lau winds up and cracks Ross with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lau postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Ross badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Lau around the waist but Lau pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Lau is the winner by TKO! Lau jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
