Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Harper (ranked 4466 p4p, 335 weight class) and Android Gero (ranked 6009 p4p, 386 weight class). Gero has chosen Slash street boys: I'll kill you that way as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Miguel Harper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Android Gero!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harper shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Gero wants to stand back up but Harper manages to pass into side control.
Harper lands a decent elbow from side control.
Harper just content to control the position.
Harper in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Gero looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gero is looking for a sweep.
Gero takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Harper throwing strikes but Gero manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gero is looking to take a break and control but Harper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Harper manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Harper lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Gero is looking to control Harper's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gero avoid being mounted?

Harper seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Harper working over Gero with some ground and pound. Gero looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Harper is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Gero really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gero is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Harper is nestled in close to Gero, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Harper is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Gero tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Harper is looking for a kimura but Gero is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Harper to get the leverage.
Harper is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Harper winds up and cracks Gero with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Harper has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Harper seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Gero wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Harper connects with a nice short shot to Gero's temple.

Harper maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Gero could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Harper has cracked it and Gero is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Harper!
