Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shane Murphy!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asmundsen uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
The fighters circle momentarily. Asmundsen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Murphy shoots in but Asmundsen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Murphy has his takedown stuffed
and Asmundsen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Murphy won't be happy with that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Asmundsen has hold of Murphy's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Murphy tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Asmundsen cranks the arm and Murphy screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Murphy, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
