Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rover Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David McCredie!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie tries to clinch but McCredie is having none of it.
McCredie misses with a double jab.
Gracie fails in his attempt to clinch.
McCredie closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gracie circles away.
McCredie throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
McCredie shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gracie's guard.
Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McCredie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
McCredie trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McCredie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gracie had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. McCredie is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gracie Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take McCredie's back instead.
Gracie is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. McCredie defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
That's one minute gone in the round.
