The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balli is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wiremu sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Anaru Wiremu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pierfrancesco Balli.
Balli shoots in but Wiremu avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Wiremu lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Balli closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Balli is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Wiremu has managed to free his arm - good work.

Balli is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wiremu doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Balli.

Balli in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Wiremu tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Balli!
