The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcone explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Wright darts in looking for a takedown but Marcone gets double underhooks and turns Wright into the cage.
Wright looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Wright with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Marcone to score with a decent uppercut.

Wright wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wright lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Marcone has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Marcone and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Wright tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Marcone manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Marcone lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Wright backs up against the cage.

It looks like Alex Wright has been cut.

As Wright backs off Marcone throws a huge counter combo but Wright manages to avoid it all.

Alex Wright was interviewed post fight and said 'When I sign a contract, I really want to give 180%. And if I can't give that, it's just not fair to the promotion and it's not fair to the fans and it's not fair to myself'.
