The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Workman moves into the clinch successfully.

Drew gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Workman keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Workman is looking to control Drew 's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Workman avoid being mounted?
Workman tries to roll over but Drew keeps him under control.
Workman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Workman flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Drew has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Workman regains guard immediately.

Drew has Workman pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Drew pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Workman tumbling to the mat - Drew dives into Workman's guard.

Workman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Workman decides to stand up.
Workman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Drew manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Workman looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Drew swats away the attempt to clinch by Workman.
Despite the aggression on Drew 's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
