The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nasar closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Trevino's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Nasar scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Nasar wants to stand up but Trevino is controlling the position.

Nasar is working for a kimura but Trevino is defending it quite comfortably.

Trevino could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Nasar holds on and takes a little breather.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Trevino drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Nasar manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Trevino has Nasar in his guard.

Nasar has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Trevino is proving hard to escape from.

Nasar throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Trevino was covering up waiting for the punch and Nasar finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Wilton Trevino will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Wilton Trevino.
