Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jet Chan (ranked 5874 p4p, 537 weight class) and Yunus Namegov (ranked 1519 p4p, 185 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jet Chan!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yunus Namegov!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Ron Honeybunn and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chan throws a body shot but no joy.
Namegov moves in looking to clinch but Chan pushes him off.
Chan half committed to a counter leg kick.
Namegov moves in looking to clinch but Chan pushes him off.
Chan fires out a quick counter leg kick but Namegov just manages to avoid it.
Chan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Chan is looking to counter with head kicks.

Namegov moves into the clinch.
Namegov looking for a takedown.
Namegov is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Chan to keep the fight standing.
Namegov has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Chan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Chan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Namegov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chan has managed to get both his arms back between Namegov's legs - danger averted.

Namegov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Chan defends it easily.
Chan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Namegov wants to get back to his feet but Chan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Namegov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chan's guard.

Chan is adopting a defensive guard.
Chan wants to sweep here but Namegov controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Namegov stands and steps away. Chan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Namegov drops down looking for an ankle pick but Chan pulls his leg out and moves away.

Namegov drives through and clinches with Chan against the cage.

Namegov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Chan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Namegov on the ground.

Chan tries to work over Namegov's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Namegov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Namegov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Chan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Namegov is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Chan rolls with it to try and escape but Namegov cranks on the arm and Chan is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
