Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, William Scout!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jeff Rinaldi!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rinaldi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rinaldi lands with a right hand.
Scout has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Big Price MMA in the buildup to the fight.

Scout takes the fight into the clinch.
Rinaldi's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Scout looking to throw knees to the head but Rinaldi is blocking nicely.

Rinaldi breaks from the clinch.
Rinaldi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Scout manages to avoid it.
Scout throws a big counter combination but Rinaldi scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Scout has managed to clinch.

Rinaldi breaks from the clinch.
Rinaldi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Scout moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Scout has Rinaldi up against the cage in a clinch.

Rinaldi manages to break the clinch.
Scout avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rinaldi scores with a shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Scout clinches up with Rinaldi and pushes him back against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Scout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rinaldi dodges an elbow strike from Scout.

Rinaldi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Scout lands with a nice combination. Rinaldi backs away looking to recover.


It looks like Jeff Rinaldi has been cut.
Scout fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rinaldi throws a right and a left that Scout avoids nicely.

Scout closes the distance and pushes Rinaldi back into the cage.
Rinaldi wants to get back to striking at distance but Scout won't allow it.
Rinaldi is looking to break free of the clinch but Scout has double underhooks.
Scout just leaning against Rinaldi, taking a breather.
A short body shot lands from Scout as the two fighters clinch.
Scout works on Rinaldi's body with a couple of short punches.
Rinaldi looks winded!

Scout breaks from the clinch.
Rinaldi lands a nice hook to Scout's body. Scout takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rinaldi throws a predictable looking body shot
and Scout counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rinaldi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rinaldi wants it to stay on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Scout closes the distance and pushes Rinaldi back into the cage.
Scout scores with a nice hook to the head.

Rinaldi is pressed up against the cage. Scout has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rinaldi down to the mat. Rinaldi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rinaldi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Scout gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Rinaldi tries to break free but Scout pushes him back against the cage.

Scout throws a combination. Rinaldi tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Rinaldi throws a nice looking combination but Scout bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Scout closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Come on Scout - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Scout misses with an elbow strike.

Rinaldi wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Scout has him pressed against the cage.
Rinaldi is looking to break free of the clinch but Scout has double underhooks.
Scout is leaning against Rinaldi and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Scout gets through Rinaldi's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Scout doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee is keeping an eye on Scout - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Scout pulls guard successfully.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Rinaldi is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Scout has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Rinaldi is looking to defend but Scout has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Rinaldi! Scout pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Rinaldi taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). William Scout!
