Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Dick (ranked 4542 p4p, 481 weight class) and Sagoya Nobonaga (ranked 2703 p4p, 317 weight class). Nobonaga has chosen Kickboxer as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nobonaga stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nobonaga wants it to stay on the feet.
A countering left hand to the body from Nobonaga misses.
A solid leg kick lands there for Nobonaga.
Dick shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nobonaga as he avoids it easily.
Nobonaga connects with a leg kick. Dick looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Dick tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dick has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Dick is trying to work for a kimura but Nobonaga is defending well.
Nobonaga is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dick pulls his head out easily.

Dick lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Dick seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Nobonaga is trying to stand back up but Dick is controlling him
Dick working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Dick wants to work for an arm triangle but Nobonaga is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Nobonaga tries to lock up and control but Dick gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Nobonaga's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Nobonaga told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Dick is landing with some decent strikes but Nobonaga is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Dick has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dick jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Nobonaga is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Nobonaga and Dick has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Dick is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Nobonaga has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Nobonaga!

The fighters circle, before Nobonaga throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Dick's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Nobonaga lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

A relieved looking Sagoya Nobonaga thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
