The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws the kick towards the body but Vikstrom avoids it.
Vikstrom wants to slow Silva down by chopping away at his legs.
Vikstrom throws a wild body kick that Silva sees coming a mile off.
No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Vikstrom drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Vikstrom is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Silva knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Vikstrom thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Vikstrom wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Silva scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Vikstrom takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Vikstrom shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Silva lands with a big left! Vikstrom is wobbled badly! Silva comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Vikstrom to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
