Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stojan Kostic (ranked 1138 p4p, 142 weight class) and Whorely Alvarez (ranked 2511 p4p, 285 weight class). Kostic comes to the cage accompanied by Skabo - Mare batice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kostic tries to clinch up but Alvarez circles away and keeps his distance.
Alvarez throws a hook to the side of Kostic's head but Kostic sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Alvarez lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Kostic tries to clinch but Alvarez is having none of it.
Alvarez looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Alvarez fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kostic looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kostic definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alvarez throws a low kick but Kostic moves out of range easily.
Alvarez scores with a head kick. Kostic tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Alvarez throws a half hearted mid kick.

Kostic clinches.
Kostic fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Nice body punch from Alvarez.
Alvarez tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Kostic tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Alvarez smiles and moves away.
Alvarez shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Kostic moves into range and clinches up with Alvarez.
Kostic tries to pull guard but Alvarez won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stojan Kostic. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kostic has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Alvarez uses from the top position.

Alvarez is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Kostic has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Alvarez is looking to defend but Kostic has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Alvarez! Kostic pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Alvarez taps out and this one is all over!
