The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rusu tries to clinch there but Waters circles away.

Rusu gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Rusu is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Waters breaks from the clinch.
Rusu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Waters avoids it really well and circles away.
Waters tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Rusu manages to circle out of the way.
Rusu tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rusu closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Rusu shoots in looking for a takedown but Waters manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rusu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Waters is looking to counter the offense by Rusu and move into the clinch.

Waters slaps away a takedown attempt from Rusu, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Rusu changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Waters tries to avoid it but Rusu manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Waters to the ground. Waters escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rusu looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Waters is fending him off so far but Rusu persists. Nope, Waters circles away and we're back to standing.
Waters is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Rusu.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Waters creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Rusu fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Waters lands with a right to the head.

A short body shot lands from Waters as the two fighters clinch.
Waters tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Waters lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Rusu or not.

Waters manages to break the clinch.
Waters smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Waters scores with a jab. Rusu acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

It looks like Costel Rusu has been cut.
Waters lands a nice looking body shot.
Rusu is still on wobbly legs! Can Waters finish him?
Waters darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Rusu's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Waters before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
