Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenshi Kimura (ranked 4368 p4p, 446 weight class) and Gerardo Abellan (ranked 5457 p4p, 486 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abellan tests Kimura's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kimura definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Abellan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kimura has time to react.
Kimura misses with a hook.
Abellan is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Abellan digs a good hook to Kimura's body.
Kimura takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Abellan connects with a body shot that sends Kimura's belly button to the back.

Kimura needs to keep his hands up - Abellan had a free shot at his head there.
Kimura throws out a loose jab but Abellan uses good head movement to avoid it.

Kimura takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Abellan slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Kimura drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Abellan is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Abellan cracks Kimura with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Abellan has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kimura to stand back up!

Kimura is rocked!
Kimura looks up at the clock. Bad move! Abellan lands a right hand from hell, dropping Kimura. Abellan pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gerardo Abellan!
Gerardo Abellan spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
