These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cantabarca sprawls well initially but Thu persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Cantabarca slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Cantabarca bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Thu's guard.

Thu is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Cantabarca passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Thu tries to bench press Cantabarca off him but Cantabarca keeps the position.
Thu takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Thu taking punishment in the form of punches.
Cantabarca lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Thu trying to control the position but Cantabarca manages to sink in the hooks.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cantabarca is persistently looking for the submission but Thu is defending it well.
Thu is covering up but some of the strikes from Cantabarca are getting through and doing damage.

Cantabarca will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cantabarca is working for a rear naked choke. Thu is not defending it well and Cantabarca has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Thu refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Thu's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
