Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frennick Lupo (ranked 7943 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zsolt The Light (ranked 5119 p4p, 0 weight class). Zsolt The Light will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lupo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lupo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed The Light's guard.

Lupo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The Light tries to kick Lupo off but Lupo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lupo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks The Light with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The Light is in trouble now - Lupo has advanced to mount!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if The Light can do anything to dispel that myth.
Well, if Lupo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The Light is refusing to be controlled, as Lupo sits in half guard.
The Light tries to kick Lupo off in order to stand up. Lupo Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Lupo is looking to take a break and control but The Light is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The Light wants to get back to his feet.

You can see the frustration on The Light's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The Light tries to buck Lupo off but Lupo is having none of it.
The Light seems a little lost for a moment, as Lupo dominates the positioning.
Lupo decides to stand back up.
The Light misses with a takedown attempt - Lupo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The Light tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lupo swivels and escapes.
The Light shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lupo's guard.
Lupo is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. The Light presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
The Light is breathing heavily.
Lupo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Lupo shoots for a double leg takedown but The Light sprawls well. He's pushed Lupo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Frennick Lupo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lupo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Light is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lupo is controlling him.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lupo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
The Light looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
It looked like Lupo was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from The Light.
Frennick Lupo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zsolt The Light.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The Light is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - The Light looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The Light tries to bum rush Lupo with a series of wild strikes but Lupo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The Light closes the distance and clinches up with Lupo, looking for a takedown. The Light pushes Lupo against the cage but Lupo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lupo throws a big counter combination but The Light scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Lupo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that The Light can do to turn this around?

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lupo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
