Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lukks Fedor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Jim Yorke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lukks Fedor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Big Jim Yorke!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fedor looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Yorke pushes Fedor off looking to stand but Fedor dives back in and keeps control.
Fedor is trying to control. Yorke wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Fedor seems to be looking for submissions.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fedor in particular looking to stall.
Yorke is looking to control Fedor's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Yorke avoid being mounted?

Fedor postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Yorke to stand up.
Lukks Fedor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yorke wants to clinch up but Fedor keeps it at a distance.
Yorke stuffs the takedown.

Yorke ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fedor moves away.
Fedor could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Yorke has closed the distance and engaged Fedor in a clinch.

Yorke breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Yorke tries to clinch there but Fedor circles away.
Fedor lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Fedor gets the takedown into side control.
Fedor with the ground and pound but Yorke regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fedor content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Yorke has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fedor is working away from the top position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Yorke makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
A jab lands there for Yorke.


It looks like Lukks Fedor has been cut.
Fedor is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nice sprawl there from Yorke as Fedor shoots in.

Yorke takes the fight into the clinch.

Yorke has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Fedor regains guard immediately.
Yorke prevents Fedor from getting back to his feet.

Yorke stands up and waves to Fedor to follow him.

Yorke feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Yorke must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Fedor looking for a sweep. Not yet Fedor, not yet.
Yorke postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Yorke trying to control the position from guard on top but Fedor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fedor striking off his back but it's not causing Yorke any problems.
Yorke lands a couple of digs.

Yorke drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Fedor dives on top into guard.
Fedor passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Yorke manages to get back to half guard.
Yorke is looking for a sweep. Fedor is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Fedor decides to return to a standing position.
Yorke throws a combination. Fedor tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Yorke goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Yorke tries to bum rush Fedor with a series of wild strikes but Fedor uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fedor gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Yorke counters with a flying knee. Nice.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lukks Fedor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yorke misses with a series of wild punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Fedor shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Yorke counters with a big head kick but Fedor shrugs it off.
Yorke takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Fedor shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Yorke throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Fedor slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Fedor stands and steps away. Yorke gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fedor stuffs the takedown.
Fedor moves out of range as Yorke throws a body kick.
Fedor shoots for a double leg takedown but Yorke sprawls well. He's pushed Fedor's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Yorke feints and then cracks Fedor's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fedor down.

Fedor swings wildly with an uppercut but Yorke uses good head movement to avoid it.
Fedor wants to stall.

Yorke manages to pull guard.
Yorke looking for a sweep. Not yet Yorke, not yet.

Yorke is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Yorke trying to control from half guard but Fedor is working away.
Yorke tries to pass to full mount but Fedor defends it.
Yorke seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Lukks Fedor overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Fedor tries to roll over but Yorke keeps him under control.

The fighters are battling for position here. Fedor manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Fedor wants to stand up but Yorke is controlling him.
Yorke is stalling in the full guard.
Yorke works over Fedor with some ground and pound from guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fedor wants to sweep here but Yorke controlling him for the moment.

Yorke looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Yorke won't allow Fedor to sweep him here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Yorke decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lukks Fedor will probably get the nod.

Fedor shoots and misses
and Yorke counters with a three punch combo that has Fedor backing up. Fedor nods at Yorke to acknowledge the strikes.
Lukks Fedor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Yorke misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nice straight punches there by Yorke. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Yorke.

Fedor tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Yorke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fedor swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Fedor trying to keep a closed guard but Yorke is proving a slippery customer.

Yorke decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Yorke moves into the clinch.

Fedor tries to free his leg and advance position but Yorke is retaining full guard.
Yorke wants to sweep but no luck.
Yorke is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Fedor stops Yorke from standing up.

Fedor decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Yorke scores with a sloppy right hand. Fedor should have avoided that one.

and Yorke counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fedor!

Fedor tries to lock up and control but Yorke gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Yorke takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Big Jim Yorke comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Yorke has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
