The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson tries to clinch up
and Linwood counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Linwood fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Johnson, pushing him back against the cage.
Johnson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Linwood to keep the fight standing.

Johnson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Linwood fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Johnson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Johnson manages to end up in side control.

Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Linwood. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close round but I would say that George Linwood will probably get the nod.

Linwood closes the distance and clinches up with Johnson, looking for a takedown. Linwood pushes Johnson against the cage but Johnson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Johnson loads up on a big left hand. Linwood felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Johnson looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Linwood can't hide his disappointment, as Johnson celebrates the victory.
