And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, David Ngoss!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Hauteville connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ngoss's hands.

Ngoss moves into the clinch.
Ngoss keeps the fight in the clinch, despite De Hauteville's efforts to push away.
De Hauteville is trying to break the clinch but Ngoss has him pressed against the cage.

Ngoss gets control of De Hauteville's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ngoss will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
De Hauteville trying to stand up but can't free himself from Ngoss's guard.

Ngoss is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and De Hauteville defends well.
Ngoss looking to hit a scissor sweep but De Hauteville is one step ahead there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De Hauteville is looking to stand up but Ngoss won't let him.
Ngoss has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Temp Spar Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Ngoss trying to keep a closed guard but De Hauteville is proving a slippery customer.

De Hauteville got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ngoss has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, De Hauteville has managed to get both his arms back between Ngoss's legs - danger averted.
Ngoss is trying to keep De Hauteville in close.

Ngoss is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and De Hauteville defends well.

Ngoss is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Ngoss has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but De Hauteville can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
De Hauteville wanted to stand there but Ngoss had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ngoss can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ngoss looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

De Hauteville is sitting in close to Ngoss's body. Ngoss has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! De Hauteville is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, De Hauteville is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Ngoss.
