Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Nada (ranked 1975 p4p, 224 weight class) and Mee Vattalles (ranked 1849 p4p, 217 weight class). Vattalles has chosen JVG - Matti & Teppo as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frank Nada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mee Vattalles!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vattalles shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Vattalles is just content to waste time from the top position. Nada takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Vattalles tries to free his leg and advance position but Nada is retaining full guard.
Nada preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Nada keeping moving, preventing Vattalles from controlling successfully.
Vattalles is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Nada looking to control.
Vattalles trying to control the position from guard on top but Nada is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nada keeping full guard, as Vattalles tries to pass.
Nada looking for a sweep. Not yet Nada, not yet.
Vattalles throws a big right hand that misses.

Nada looking to hit a scissor sweep but Vattalles is one step ahead there.
Vattalles is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Nada is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nada is on top in guard.


Vattalles has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nada can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Nada is pushing down on Vattalles's leg trying to pass to half guard. Vattalles is fighting to maintain full guard but Nada has managed to sneak the leg through.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nada not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Vattalles desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Nada is trying to control. Vattalles wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Nada trying to pass the guard but Vattalles defending well.
Vattalles works his way to full guard. Good work.
Vattalles has momentary wrist control but Nada slips an elbow through the middle.

Vattalles has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nada can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Nada has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nada passes into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Mee Vattalles will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Nada throws a looping overhand right but Vattalles ducks down to avoid it.
Vattalles misses with a looping left.
Vattalles moves out of range of the strikes.
Vattalles steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Nada.

Vattalles looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Nada tries to get to full guard but Vattalles has control of the leg.
Nada is working hard here to advance position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vattalles is looking for a kimura here.
Vattalles has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Vattalles seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Nada is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Mee Vattalles!
Mee Vattalles decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
