The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Best slaps away a takedown attempt from English, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Best shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Best takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
English trying to control from the bottom.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
English is trying to maintain the position but Best is very close to passing his half guard.
Best controlling the action here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Best seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but English does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
English might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

English kicks Best off and gets back to his feet.

Best drives through and clinches with English against the cage.

Best throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

Best lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
