Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Dennison (ranked 4252 p4p, 413 weight class) and Thomas Angelo (ranked 2645 p4p, 291 weight class). Angelo has chosen Jack Parow - Cooler as Ekke as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Dennison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Thomas Angelo!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Roberts and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dennison throws a body shot but no joy.
Dennison stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dennison wants it to stay on the feet.
Dennison misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Angelo.
Angelo now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Angelo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dennison throws a combination that misses

and Angelo counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Dennison misses with some punches.
Angelo is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
A head punch on the inside from Dennison fails to land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dennison is trying to break the clinch but Angelo is controlling him.

Angelo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dennison throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Angelo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Angelo steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Dennison.

Angelo clinches up with Dennison and pushes him back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dennison is looking to break free of the clinch but Angelo has double underhooks.

Angelo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dennison throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Dennison looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Angelo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Dennison throws a lazy uppercut

and Angelo counters by clinching up.

Dennison lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Angelo looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Angelo manages to get to full guard.
Angelo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dennison trying to control but Angelo is working from the bottom.
Angelo lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Angelo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Angelo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dennison is trying to control the position but Angelo postures up.

Angelo drops back looking for a leg! Dennison is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dennison manages to kick Angelo off! Angelo jumps back into Dennison's guard.
Angelo advances position into side control!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Angelo is working to tighten his grip on Dennison's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Dennison has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Angelo is really squeezing tight and eventually Dennison passes out! Angelo breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Thomas Angelo!
During a confident post fight interview, Thomas Angelo thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
