Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ruslan Danilov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lazar Markov!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Markov fails with a takedown attempt.
Danilov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Markov.
Danilov throws a series of punches but Markov moves out of range.
Danilov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Markov.
Ruslan Danilov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lazar Markov.
Markov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Danilov counters with a thumping low kick.
Danilov scores with a head kick. Markov tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Horrible takedown attempt by Markov or perhaps it was just good defense by Danilov, which made it look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Danilov ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Markov's coach down at 3Band MMA ($800/week) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Markov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Markov takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Danilov lands a nice shot that snaps Markov's head back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Danilov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Markov tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Danilov lands with a cross.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Markov crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Danilov - the referee stops the clock and Markov gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Danilov. Markov manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Danilov lands a big head kick that sends Markov tumbling to the mat! Danilov takes a step backwards and waves Markov back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Danilov moves into range and clinches up with Markov.

Danilov crunches a lovely knee into Markov's ribcage.
Danilov jerks Markov's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Markov drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Danilov goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Danilov because Markov was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
