Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Seto Kaiba (ranked 1637 p4p, 200 weight class) and Jack Xavier (ranked 2349 p4p, 264 weight class). Jack Xavier has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Seto Kaiba's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xavier misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Xavier takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Xavier's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kaiba connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Xavier scrambles back to his feet.

Xavier jumps guard but Kaiba stands there with Xavier around his waist. Xavier gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Seto Kaiba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Xavier.
Kaiba is trying to push Xavier away but Xavier has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Kaiba definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Kaiba really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Xavier jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kaiba walks away with a smile on his face. Xavier gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Xavier decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kaiba scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Xavier manages to mount him!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Xavier feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Xavier dives in for a single leg takedown but Kaiba sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Xavier working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kaiba doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kaiba manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Xavier is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Kaiba frees his head nicely. Oh but Xavier has switched to an armbar! Kaiba is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
