The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jindrak fakes the leg kick and cracks Manning in the body.
Jindrak misses with a takedown

and Manning counters with a single leg into guard. Jindrak didn't expect that.
Manning will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jindrak can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Manning controls the pace.
Manning loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Jindrak lands a really nice looking cross but Manning seems unphased.
Jindrak misses with a takedown

and Manning counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Manning has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jindrak is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Manning dives into side control.
Manning really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Manning lands some shots froms side control.
Jindrak wants to get back to his feet.
Jindrak really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Manning. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Manning is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Jindrak takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Manning in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Jindrak tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

A head kick by Jindrak misses

and Manning decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jindrak's guard.
Jindrak is looking to stand up but Manning isn't so interested in that idea.
Jindrak wants to get back to his feet but Manning passes into half guard.
Manning is nestled in close to Jindrak, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Manning lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Manning connects with a nice short shot to Jindrak's temple.

Manning is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jindrak can do to turn this around?
Jindrak tries to kick Manning off in order to stand up. Manning Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Manning grinds an elbow into Jindrak's temple.
Jindrak is looking to get back to his feet here but Manning is keeping cool and he's managed to take Jindrak's back.

Manning seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jindrak for as long as he can get away with.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Jindrak takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Manning is punishing Jindrak with some ground and pound.
