Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nkululeko Sokhela!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Coach Jab!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Daniel Franklin and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sokhela rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Jab counters with a stiff right hand.
Nice uppercut lands for Sokhela. That snapped Jab's head back.
It looks like Coach Jab has been cut.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sokhela, right into the meat.
Jab slips a jab from Sokhela.
Jab slips a straight right by Sokhela.
Jab works Sokhela's body with a nice hook.
Jab comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sokhela swats away the attempt to clinch by Jab.
Jab has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sokhela.
Jab ducks under a wild hook from Sokhela.
Sokhela tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Jab is able to avoid easily.
Jab looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Sokhela misses with a lunging right hand
and Jab counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sokhela cracks Jab with a good jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sokhela looks to throw the jab but Jab is out of range.
Sokhela takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sokhela, right into the meat.
Jab throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sokhela stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jab tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sokhela manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nice body punch from Jab.
The fighters circling - Sokhela throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jab uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Sokhela is rocked!
BAM! Jab delivers a spinning backfist that drops Sokhela like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
